Hemophilia is a congenital coagulopathy with X-linked recessive inheritance, characterized by a functional or quantitative deficiency of Factor VIII (Hemophilia A) or Factor IX (Hemophilia B). This alteration disrupts the intrinsic pathway of the coagulation cascade, critically compromising the amplification phase and the consequent massive generation of thrombin.
